WCRL Update on COVID-19

Developments in the COVID-19 pandemic are being monitored carefully by the USDAA/WCRL office, and we strongly encourage all competitors, affiliated groups, and judges to follow the recommendations of your State and local health departments when making decisions about event hosting and attendance. These authorities are in the best position to measure both the localized risk and response based upon data from the World Health Organization and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and other regional institutions.

We have been heartened by the proactive communication and preparation efforts by affiliated groups across the country as they take additional steps to mitigate the spread of germs at upcoming events. We thank you for your vigilance as we all work to protect those in our community who are most vulnerable.

USDAA/WCRL will support our affiliated groups as they make decisions regarding their unique event details in consideration of their local risk factors. Specific questions regarding the status of upcoming events including precautionary measures or possible postponement, rescheduling, or withdrawal of an entry due to illness, should be directed to your local affiliated group.

While no list can address all variables one may encounter, the State of California has put together a comprehensive document on considerations with regard to events, specifying normal precautions that should be considered.
