New Provisional Judges Named

Announcement of new judges approved for provisional judging assignments.

WCRL is pleased to announce the following individuals have been approved as provisional judges:

Tammy Mehmed of San Francisco, CA
Provisional Level 1 Judge

Tammy started training in WCRL/APDT Rally in early 2009, and her first trial was in October 2009. She enjoys the camaraderie at all the WCRL/APDT trials among the competitors and judges. Tammy says she never imagined training her dog to this level and having so much fun doing it! Becoming a judge allows her to give back to the organization and still continue in the sport. Tammy and her Cocker Spaniel also compete in agility; if circus tricks were a sport, she would be involved in that, too!

Phyllis Huber of Pittsburgh, PA
Provisional Level 1 Judge

Phyllis first started competing in WCRL/APDT Rally in September of 2012, and currently competes with her Scottish Terrier, Laci, and West Highland White Terrier, Maddie. As a WCRL Instructor, she enjoys designing courses, working with students, and celebrating their accomplishments as they progress through the different levels of competition. Becoming a Judge allows her to continue to be a part of these outstanding dog and handler teams and to be an advocate for this wonderful companion event. Phyllis also competes in AKC Rally and Obedience, and she and her dogs participate as a Therapy Dog team at her local library's Reading with Rover program, skilled nursing home, assisted living, and hospice facilities.
