With a heightened level of interest, the WCRL Championship event has been rescheduled for spring 2027, with the eligibility period extended through 2026.
The results of the recent survey highlighted that many competitors interested in participating in the 2026 WCRL Championship feel there was not enough time to qualify. Given the level of interest, we looked further at the calendar, the number of potential competitors, and the capacity of the current facility.
After careful deliberation, the Event Committee has decided that the event will best serve the community by rescheduling it for the same region of the country and same timeframe in 2027, and at a facility that can have more capacity for the event. The final details are being worked out, and the exact date and location will be announced soon, once the contract is signed.
